Weston Super Mare move into promotion contention
A goal from Jake Reid helped Weston Super Mare move into the Vanarama National League South promotion hunt after a 2-0 victory over Walford Town on a hard and bouncy surface at School Lane.
Reid scored from the spot after Every gave away a penalty for pushing his opponent in the area. Defensive midfielder Michael Spillane's red card for persistent fouling on 53 minutes put Weston Super Mare's position under question.
Things went from bad to worse for the Wally's as central defender Mark Every earned himself an early bath for persistent fouling on 55 minutes.
Young midfielder Lloyd Humphries finally rounded off their victory on 75 minutes with a cracking shot form 21 meters out.
