FA Cup 4th Qual Rd: Cinderford 2 Walford Town 6  Att 389

Walford Town stroll to success

Youth was no match for experience on a wet afternoon at the Causeway as a young Cinderford team succumbed to a 2-6 defeat at the hands of a much more experienced Walford Town side.

Veteran centre back Siphiwe Mkhonza gave Walford Town the lead with a fluke goal in the 22nd minute.

The local crowd erupted when young midfielder Luke Smith then equalised for Cinderford in the 35th minute with an attempt which took a fortunate deflection.

Veteran winger Alireza Vahedi Nikbakht then put Walford Town in the lead again after 51 minutes after palcing a perfect shot intothe corner of the net

Scott scored with another deflected shot in the 56th minute to extend the lead further and this was followed when midfielder Tom Beere added to the lead into the bottom corner on 63 minutes.

Nunez then added the advantage even more with a tap in on 71 minutes and Johnson added the final goal for Walford Town with a header on 83 minutes

Midfielder Zak Garston pulled one back for Cinderford in injury time but by then it was too late for the Southern League South & West Division One side.
