Vanarama South: Concord Rangers 2 1 Walford Town Att 532
Concord fly into promotion contention
A goal from Sam Collins helped Concord move into the Vanarama National League South promotion hunt after a 2-1 victory over Walford Town on a mild autumnal afternoon at the Aspect Arena.
Things turned sour for Walford Town when experience centre back Victor Ezuruike earned himself an early bath for a horrific tackle after only 10 minutes.
Concord finally took the lead when Concord captain Sam Collins scored a close range goal on 46 minutes.
Stokes scored from the spot after List gave away a penalty for blatently pushing an opponent in the penalty area.
Attacking midfielder Brodie Paterson's 92nd minute strike was only sparse consolation for Walford Town.
