Vanarama South: Bath City 2 3 Walford Town  Att  852

Wally's win against Bath

There was a huge sigh of relief from the travelling Wally's fans after this match at Twerton Park as Walford Town finally got back on the road to winning matches after a dip in form, but they certainly didn't do it the easy way.

Experienced striker Thurston Johnson added to his tally of goals this season when he gave Walford Town the lead in the 33rd minute.

Bath equalised in the second half with young Joe White showing confidence and composure aplenty with a tidy finish in the 57th minute.

Winger Alireza Vahedi Nikbakht then put Town back in front after 77 minutes witha deflty eexcuted finish.

But Bath City equalised again when Rees Wedderburn put his shot into the bottom left corner with only 5 minutes to go and it looked like the points would be shared.

But in injury time from a corner, the ball bounced off Bath's Andy Watkin's head and past the keeper for Walford to take all three points.

They say that for a team to win the league they need some luck along the way...well this was certainly a day of luck for the Wally's.
